The Story
Preface
The planet of Aieryon and its mate, the lavender star Xi-Shie, defied all the probabilities. According to humanity’s most distinguished scientists, lavender stars were never supposed to exist – under any condition. Furthermore, fecund planets with real magic and palpable magical beings were presumed to be confined to the pages of myths, legends, and fairytales. Their ilk should never intrude upon the fabric of reality.
Equally preposterous was a race of beings such as the Dragonkindt. Part angelic being, part shapeshifter, part dragon, these creatures were thought to be the phantasms of some Eastern poetic genius or, perhaps a demented scholar.
Yet here they were: Arion, Xi-Shie, and the Dragonkindt. Beating out the rhythm of their saga – blissfully unaware of the absurdity of their own existence.
Game Backstory
Over the centuries, many of Aieryon’s inhabitants came to realize that a portal of immense, arcane power existed somewhere in the land – but its exact location was concealed within a tome called the Tazvoxx. Only the Dragonkindt, an ancient race, were entrusted with safeguarding it.
The knowledge contained within the Tazvoxx earned the Dragonkindt many enemies. One was a charismatic but malevolent Elven cleric named Abadore, who used general mistrust of the Dragonkindt to foment outright hatred. She unified nearly all of the other races against the Dragonkindt. Officially, the war’s purpose was to rid Aieryon of the Dragonkindt scourge. Privately, she lusted after the Tazvoxx and was using the conflict to claim the tome for herself.
Centuries later, your parents, Lindorian and Androsta, were entrusted with finding the Tazvoxx – only to be viciously murdered. The tome’s whereabouts are unknown – and the case has been left unsolved …
In Passageway of the Ancients: Prelude, it’s up to you to uncover the answers as you explore the world of Aieryon, embark on epic quests, and battle fearsome foes in this expansive, 2.75D isometric fantasy RPG. Will you recover the Tazvoxx and solve your parents’ murder?
